“Skills for the Job of Living"

Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on improving your independence and safety with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). ADLs include everyday tasks like working, self-care, functional mobility, household management and leisure activities. OTs perform thorough evaluations and retrain people with illness or injuries that interfere with these essential tasks. OTs also can specialize in therapy of the hand and upper extremity. Treatment may include therapeutic exercise, hand therapy and splinting, and/or education on adaptive equipment to reach your highest quality of life.
