Lancaster Regional Medical Center has been offering da Vinci® surgery longer than any other facility in Lancaster - since 2005. It allows our talented surgeons and skilled operating team to perform precise, minimally invasive surgery in a manner that enhances healing and promotes well-being. We are pleased to introduce an enhancement to that system - the daVinci Si™. 

The daVinci SI has several unique features designed to provide additional clinical benefits and efficiency in the operating room such as:  
·         Enhanced 3D, high-definition vision of operative field with up to 10x magnification.
·         New optional dual console allows a second surgeon to provide assistance.
·         Updated and simplified user interface to enhance OR efficiency.
·         New ergonomic settings for greater surgeon comfort.  

This generation of computer enhanced technology is particularly beneficial to individuals needing surgery related to the prostate, uterus, kidney, ovary, tongue, pharynx, and tonsil to name just a few. 

The daVinci Surgical System is powered by state-of-the-art robotic technology. The system allows our surgeon’s hand movements to be scaled, filtered and translated into precise movements of micro-instruments within the operative site. The magnified, three-dimensional view the surgeon experiences enables him to perform precise surgery in complex procedures through small surgical incisions. Minimally invasive surgery allows physicians to perform many kinds of major surgery with less patient trauma and pain, minimal scarring, faster recovery and shorter hospital stays.

The System cannot be programmed nor can it make decisions on its own. The daVinci System requires that every surgical maneuver be performed with direct input from your surgeon.
