CEO's Message

Experience personalized care second to none in Lancaster County.

For more than 122 years, Lancaster Regional Medical Center (LRMC) has been a health care organization dedicated to Lancaster County. Why should you choose LRMC over another hospital? It's simple - personalized service. As a full service medical facility with community hospital values, you are a person first and a patient second at LRMC. And you are never, ever just a number. That's the LRMC difference.

We offer the highest quality of care in a compassionate atmosphere, expanding our medical technologies and services while contributing to our community's well being through outreach and education. Over the last several years, improvements to our facilities and advances in state-of-the-art technologies have helped us grow to meet community healthcare needs.

Our highly skilled team - your friends and neighbors - is made up of more than 680 employees, 500 physicians and 500 volunteers. Our team's main focus is on our patients. We're dedicated to providing the best in patient safety using the highest level of expertise to earn the trust of Lancaster County residents.

We remain at the forefront of today's medical breakthroughs. In the past several years, LRMC has invested over $25 million in facility improvements and advanced medical technology. Here are just a few highlights:

daVinci® Si Robotic Surgery

Trained surgeons using the daVinci® Si Surgical System, the world's most advanced surgical system, to offer patients less invasive surgery with smaller incisions, quicker recovery time and smaller scars.

Lancaster Regional is the first and only hospital in Central PA to offer MAKOplasty® Partial Knee Resurfacing and Total Hip Arthroplasty. It is a minimally invasive, innovative surgical option for adults living with early to mid-stage osteoarthritis of the knee or hip. It is powered by the RIO® Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System, which allows for consistently reproducible precision.

Cardiovascular Care

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, claiming nearly 600,000 lives each year.  Cardiac procedures including bypass and cardiac stent placement are among the most common major medical procedures provided by the U.S. health care system, with more than 1 million procedures performed annually. When it is you or someone you care about that is need of heart care, you want to find a facility you can trust.

LRMC and Heart of Lancaster are the only accredited chest pain centers in Lancaster County, as proudly designated by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, an international organization dedicated to eliminating heart disease as the number one cause of death worldwide. LRMC is also a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care as awarded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Research shows that Blue Distinction Centers demonstrate better quality and improved outcomes for patients, with lower rates of complications following cardiac procedures and lower rates of healthcare associated infections compared with their peers. These are significant milestones for LRMC’s comprehensive Cardiac Care Network.

We offer a full range of cardiac care services, including inpatient cardiac care, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery (including coronary artery bypass graft surgery). If your physician has recommended you receive a diagnostic catheterization, stenting or balloon angioplasty procedure, our newest Flat Detector Cardiovascular X-ray Imager offers exceptional image quality and a safer procedure with little or no scar.

Diagnostic Imaging Technologies

Rest assured that you are experiencing imaging at its very best, by highly skilled, specialized technologists who adhere to the strictest of standards - from digital mammograms to PET and CT scans to simple x-rays. Better quality images mean improved diagnostic capabilities for our physicians and better treatment for our patients. And we offer six convenient locations for most of these services.

Education & Support

We recognize that being a good neighbor means remaining active in the health of our community. We offer health education, screenings, support groups and needed programs and services like a dedicated and compassionate inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and an active Spiritual Services Program.
