Seizures and the Full Moon

The full moon has been blamed for bringing on epileptic seizures, but researchers say that's not true. In a study published in 2004 in the journal Epilepsy and Behavior, researchers found that epileptic seizures were more common during the moon's last quarter, although they did not know why. Seizures not associated with epilepsy -- those with psychological causes or brought on by stress -- did seem to be more common during a full moon.
