Hand Therapy
Hand Therapy
Hand therapy combines occupational therapy, physical therapy and comprehensive knowledge of the upper quarter, body function, and activity. Using specialized skills in assessment and treatment, hand therapists focus on the prevention of dysfunction, restoration of function and/or reversal of the progression of damage to help individuals with upper quarter disease or injury.
We have a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) on staff. A CHT is an occupational therapist or physical therapist who has specialized clinical experience and direct practice in hand therapy. In addition, our CHT has successfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation.
