LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA, (March 2, 2012) - ENT Head and Neck Surgery of Lancaster, proudly affiliated with LRMC, is excited to be the only ENT practice in Lancaster County to offer videostroboscopy. It is one of the most practical techniques currently available for examination of the larynx, commonly called the voice box. We are able to capture a permanent image of the motion of the vocal cords and the overall health of the larynx. This enables us to easily diagnosis a variety of disorders including vocal nodules, polyps and even gastroesophageal reflux that has affected the voice box. Videostroboscopy is well tolerated by most patients and is completed quickly in our office. The American Academy of Otolaryngology recommends evaluation by an ear, nose and throat specialist for hoarseness which has persisted longer than three weeks. Please feel free to contact our office if you have any questions about videostroboscopy or would like to schedule an appointment.
